Incubus (plural incubi) is reputed to be a spirit/ demon, in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them. The incubus drains energy from the woman; it performs intercourse in order to sustain itself. In some cases it can either kill the victim or leave them in a very weak or fragile condition. In popular belief in the middle ages the Incubus (Latin for “to lie upon”) assumed to take human form to visit their victims in the dead of night, sometimes taking on the form of the victims spouse/lover. Sex with an Incubus was described as an unpleasant often painful affair. At the peak of the great witch hunts it is widely believed that sex with an Incubus was necessary for the initiation of a witch. These spirits/demons usually enter homes uninvited and can take on the appearance of another, these are shape shifters. They will often visit the same victim repeatedly; a victim will experience these visits as dreams. The most dangerous part of anybodies day is when you lay down to sleep, that is when the enemy does the most damage to the majority of people. It is reputed that 7 out of 10 women have been visited by these entities and most are unaware, thinking they have experienced a sexual dream. It is also noted that these entities can also be bisexual, they feed on sexual energy and the best feeding comes from people who are sexually active, either single or sometimes when a marriage has been sexually active then suddenly a partner is on his or her own ie: separation or going through a divorce.
